These are the acupressure points for deafness and ringing in the ear. Working on these points can help you get better faster. You do not have to use all of these points. Using just one or two of them whenever you have a free hand can be effective.
Acupressure Point LU9 — Tai Yuan
Chinese Name: 太 淵
Location: distal to the styloid process of the radius, at the radial side of the wrist crease.
Benefits: poor circulation, arterial sclerosis, headache, migraine, neck rigidity, cough, asthma, sore throat, facial paralysis, toothache, pain and weakness of the wrist, blood disorder
Acupressure Point UB23 — Shen Shu
Chinese Name: 腎俞
Location: 3 finger width lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 2nd lumbar vertebra.
Benefits: impotence, deafness, male disorders, low energy, sexual dysfunction in men, weakness in of the knee, blurred vision, ringing in the ears, irregular menstruation.
Acupressure Point SI3 — Hou Xi
Chinese Name: 後溪
Location: when a loose fist is made, this point is close to the head of the 5th metacarpal bone on the ulnar side.
Benefits: headache, stiff neck, intracranial pressure increase, glaucoma, weakness of the eye muscles, pain in the eyes, red eyes, pressure in the eyes, deafness, ringing in the ears, fever, weakness of the arm muscles, twitching of the elbow, arm and fingers, spasms of the upper back muscles, upper backache, epilepsy, night sweating
Acupressure Point TH5 — Wai Guan
Chinese Name: 外關
Location: three finger width above wrist crease on the dorsal side.
Benefits: headaches, pain in the cheek, jaw, TMJ problems, deafness, ringing in the ears, sensation of plugged ear, earache, pain behind the ear, pain in the hand, arthritis of the hands, hand tremor, to regulate abnormal heat sensation
Acupressure Point K3 — Tai Xi
Chinese Name: 太溪
Location: in the depression between the medial malleolus and tendo-calcaneus, level withe tip of the medial malleolus.
Benefits: balancing point, sore throat, toothache, deafness, hemoptysis, asthma, insomnia, impotence, frequency of urination, lower backache, swollen gums, palpitations, fear, emotions, anxiety attacks, vomiting, cold sores. “ever young point” to remove the age lines, to reduce the sensation of excessive heat or cold, side effects of radiation and chemotherapy.
Acupressure Point ST7 — Xia Guan
Chinese Name: 下關
Location: at the lower border of the zygomatic arch, in the depression anterior to the condyloid process of the mandible when the mouth is closed.
Benefits: deafness, tinnitus, ear infection, tooth ache, facial paralysis, pain in the face, t.m.j. Pain.
Acupressure Point SI19 — Ting Gong
Chinese Name: 聽宮
Location: anterior to the tragus and posterior to the condyloid process of the mandible, in the depression formed when the mouth is open.
Benefits: deafness, tinnitus, ear infection, toothache, t.m.j. Pain.
Acupressure Point GB2 — Ting Hui
Chinese Name: 聽會
Location: in the depression half finger-width below Si9.
Benefits: deafness, tinnitus, toothache, t.m.j. Pain, facial paralysis.
